The American Revolutionary War

This conflict's primary combatants were the thirteen British American Colonies on the one hand, and the British on the other. At various points during these events, the Germans joined in on the side of the British as well, and the French allied with the Colonies cause.

The British were also engaged on a number of other fronts at this time; for instance, they were fighting in India from 1775 to 1782.

The Colonies won this conflict, and declared independence from Britain's rule. The United States of America is the country that grew from this war.
